Making Our Own Homemade Burger Meal: Homemade Fireracker Burger

In the previous English class, we had the chance to prepare our own burger meal. We used natural ingredients and did not use any chemicals such as food additives and flavorings. All we used were herbs, spices, some salt and pepper to add some flavor to the burger.

This is the recipe that we used:

Homemade Firecracker Burger
Ingredients:
250 grams of ground pound beef
20 grams of green chilli
1 tablespoon of beef stock powder
4 slices of low fat cheddar cheese
Salt and pepper
Lettuce, tomato cucumer and onion
Burger buns
To prepare the burgers, these are the steps we used:
1. Firstly, preheat a pan for high heat.
2. In a medium bowl, mix the beef, chilli and beef stock powder.
3. Then, season with salt and pepper before shaping them into four patties. Your burgers will look like this.
4. Lightly oil the pan. Fry the patties five minutes per side until well-done.
5. Next, top each patty with cheese for two minutes. 6. Lastly, serve on warm burger buns with lettuce, tomato, cucumber and onions.

The burgers were delicious! We were quite proud because we made it on our own and we did not use any chemicals. Fresh food definitely tastes better especially when prepared by our own hands. We definitely will make our own burgers again in the future, now that we know they taste so good!

Our first day.

Today we learned about healthy living. We learned about having a balanced diet and the effects of a bad diet on our health. I never thought about how much processed food I eat in a week. But processed food is everywhere.

The lesson today made us think about the McDonald's bugers we eat during the week. They look delicious, and make us feel good when we eat it. Not to mention, the free toys that come with the meal are always fun and great to have.
